The included cell line overexpresses PTAFR, a naturally Gq coupled GPCR. ART is a cell line exhibiting epithelial morphology that was derived from an existing ovarian cell line from a 64-year-old female. It can be used to evaluate the infectious entry of polyomaviruses (BKPyV, JCPyV, SV40, MCPyV) and human papillomaviruses. Pathogenic variants of the JCPyV virus previously believed to be non-infectious can infect this cell line.

Optionally, user-customizable activation of the cells can be performed.Cryopreserved human macrophages are produced from monocytes in PromoCell's well-proven M1 Macrophage Generation Media XF and are available as non-activated, fully qualified M1- (GM-CSF) polarized cells. After 9-10 days of differentiation, the M1 macrophages are cryopreserved using PromoCells's proprietary, defined and animal-free freezing medium, Cryo-SFM.
